11am Classic Worship Choir
2013 First Church Chancel Choir
If you love to sing then consider joining The Chancel Choir at First Church! The Chancel Choir sings during the 11 a.m. classic worship service. They rehearse each Wednesday night from 7 to 9 p.m. This is a non-auditioned choir that welcomes anyone who loves to sing. The 65 singers present concerts of major works and special worship events. Their primary desire is to lift their praise and prayer to God each Sunday morning. The choir is led by Minister of Music, Joshua Elder.
Joshua holds degrees in music from ASU and U of A (a man divided), and spent nearly 10 years in the San Francisco Bay area working as a singer, voice teacher, opera director and conductor before returning to Phoenix in 2011.
