Our Core Values At First Church Phoenix, God is building the kind of open, inclusive community of faith needed for the 21st century: ► a radical hospitality for each other and our world;
► a passion for loving God; ► continuous transformation of heart and mind. Our hospitality, passion and transformation are liberally salted with laughter and curiosity as we seek God’s dream for our world: to live together as brothers and sisters, with Jesus as our heart’s Center. God is doing a new thing that springs forth; we see it and hope you will, too. Our Core Values click here to learn more Radical Hospitality

As people of faith, we have a longstanding practice of entering covenantal relationships with God and with each other. God initiated the covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and the Israelite people. In Jesus, God established a new covenantal relationship through the cross and resurrection. Members of the early Christian Church organized themselves around spiritual gifts and covenant, recognizing both differing gifts and the need to use those gifts inside a covenant called the Church. Covenant, in this sense, means "I share these as highest values" or "I will do my best to live by these standards." In this spirit our Committee on Nominations and Leadership Development offers the following covenant for church leaders.
