First United Methodist Church has many ways to be in service and mission in Phoenix and beyond. We have active programs locally, nationally, and internationally. Our mission volunteers cook meals for the homeless, provide Christmas gifts for families who might not have gifts of their own, build homes with Habitat for Humanity, help settle and relocate refugee families from Africa, just to name a few.

Many members and friends of First Church also volunteer in various ways, including hospitality, office work, tutoring "English as a second language" (ESL), caring for other members of the church, scouting, teaching children and adult classes, and assisting in worship.
